A solid 5 stars for Sylk Alvarez. She's a great trainer and really focuses on your goals. I'm not an easy client. I do my cardio outside the gym, so my only goal in working with a trainer is strength. I was wary that any trainer I worked with would just default to what seem to be the industry-standard cardio/aesthetic workouts. There's certainly nothing wrong with that---cardio is important and aesthetics are a fine goal---but it's not what I'm looking for. Sylk listened to my goals and developed a specifically-tuned plan. My deadlift, squat, and military press are all up. The short story: tell Sylk your goals, she'll make 'em happen.

I've been working out with Sylk Alvarez, and my fitness levels have never--and I mean never--been this amazing. Right about the time I started thinking that my body was just aging and there wasn't much to be done about it, I started working out with Sylk and have seen more transformation than I've ever seen in my life. I've leaned out, become way more toned and cut, have more energy, and resolved some bursitis in my right hip. What I also love about working out with Sylk is how attuned she is to my mental and physical state. She can tell how much I can handle, and while she nudges me forward, she never pushes me too hard or beyond what I can do--I feel supported and stretched but never barked at or forced. She helped me adjust my nutrition (just a bit, just enough), and we have a lot of fun when we train. I didn't know my body had this potential until we started working together, and I couldn't be more grateful.

Sylk helped me go from a size 12 to a size 8. But most of all it's how she cares about you. You are not just another person to her. She wants to make sure each and everyone succeeds. She gets to know each person and is there for them. If you are out somewhere and you need help on what to eat you can text her and she's there for you. If you are going on vacation, she will tell you exercises you can do while you're gone. If your down or feeling like things aren't working, she will talk with you, she'll help build you back up. She goes above and beyond all other trainers I have had. She stresses the importance of healthy lifestyle and eating habits. If you are looking for a new way to work out, I highly suggest training with Sylk.

I have trained with Sylk for 1-on-1 sessions and let me tell you, she is the best damn trainer you will ever find. After struggling with trying to lose weight on my own for years, and not getting much results, I started training with Sylk and have gotten results I have never gotten by myself. I lost about 50 pounds with in about 7 months. I would have lost more but eating bad stuff is my weakness sometimes, but I have maintained the weight. She pushes you with her challenging workouts and cares about your well being. She set me up with a meal plan that worked with food that I liked to eat and I worked out with her about 3 times a week. Her workouts are very creative and you come out drenched feeling like a million bucks. Sylk is a very dedicated trainer that is always there for you when you need her. She has helped me so much in the past year, I look forward to her workouts even though I feel like jelly after. You will not find a better trainer than Sylk, who cares and helps you through your weight loss process.

If you're looking or thinking of working out with a trainer, Sylk is your person! She's very knowledgeable and motivating. I've been seeing Sylk for a steady two years if not longer... I'm bad at keeping track of time. But because of her, I'm great at a lot of things like planks and squats and all these exercises I never thought I could do. Together, we really challenge my mind and body and i always feel amazing after my session. She's not only a great trainer who stays focused on you and always has new training techniques, but she's kind and funny!

One of my favorite parts about training with Sylk is that she gives special attention and adjusts exercises based on your fitness level. You are contantly challenged and never bored (workouts are different everyday...don't know how she does it). Also she is passonate and knowledgeable about fitness so if you have questions about workouts or diet she is the perfect person to ask and motivate you to get to your goal (also she looks like a sports model so you know she knows what she is talking about)!

Sylk is the best personal trainer I've had in a long time. She will give you everything she's got and motive you to give it your all. Even when I'm exhausted, Sylk would be able to get a few more reps out of me. She is AWESOME! I highly recommend Sylk if you're looking to get on track with working out, weight lost or toning.
